New Covenant Fellowship is a not for profit corporation which is funded by the contributions of private individuals. All contributions are tax deductible and a receipt is mailed each January for total contributions during the previous year.
Members are encouraged to tithe (give 10% of their income to the Lord, through the local congregation), and many give beyond the tithe, but we do not want people to give because of human expectations and so do not pass an offering plate each Sunday. Instead there is a box at the back of the sanctuary where people may deposit their monetary gifts.
Each year there is a financial audit (review) by members selected out of the congregation prior to the annual finance meeting which usually takes place after a Sunday morning service in late March. This categorized income/expense report is handed out during this meeting and is also available to contributors year round upon request.
Most financial decisions are made by the board of Elders, who are always open to input from members of the congregation.
